What the heck is a bouquet bar party? If your group of friends or family are looking for a new activity, a bouquet bar is it! Are you independent sorts? Each person can make their own bouquet. Cooperative? Work together to build a giant arrangement. Is there a tiny streak of competition between you? Select a judge to hand out accolades for ‘Best Use of Color’, ‘Most Creative’, and ‘The One I’m taking Home’.
What’s in the bucket? Our Bouquet Bar Bucket is a mix of seasonal focal and filler flowers, along with greenery. It contains 70 stems, enough to make 5 - 7 mason jar-sized bouquets.
When are buckets available? Buckets are available from June-October, nature permitting.
When should I order? We offer a limited number of buckets, so recommend you reserve yours no later than 2 weeks before your party. If you’re being a bit more spontaneous, contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Can I choose the flower varieties I’ll get? We cannot guarantee a particular flower. Each bucket will be filled with the best of the best of what we have growing at that particular time.
When should I pick up my flowers? Flowers should be picked up 1 or 2 days before your event. This will allow them to rest overnight before being worked into arrangements.
Do I need to bring a bucket? Because they’ve just been picked, moving the flowers from our bucket to another could damage them or shorten their vase life. They will be happiest if kept in the bucket we provide. We charge an $8 bucket fee, which will be refunded when the bucket is returned.
How do I care for my Bouquet Bar flowers? After picking up your bucket, let the flowers rest in a cool, dark place until you’re ready to use them. At that point, separate groups of flowers into individual containers to make a buffet, which will make it easier for everyone to get to them, and less likely that another flower might be damaged when a stem is pulled. When making your bouquets, clean each vase and fill it with fresh water and a packet of the flower food provided. Give each stem a fresh, diagonal cut before putting it in the vase. Be sure there are no leaves in or touching the water, as that will introduce bacteria. Every 2 or 3 days after your party, change the water in the vase, add a pinch of sugar, and cut a bit off the bottom of each stem.
How long will my flowers last? If properly cared for, cut flowers will look fresh and beautiful for 4-10 days, depending on the variety. The flowers in your bucket will be chosen with vase life in mind.
How much does the Bouquet Bar Party Bucket cost? Our Bouquet Bar bucket is $125, plus 6.25% state sales tax and an $8 refundable bucket fee.
